Crisis Management
Bruce S. Rubin Bruce S. Rubin is a public relations counselor whose 30+-year public relations career encompasses extensive corporate communications, media and community relations as well as substantial marketing public relations experience. However, he has come to be known and regarded as one of the country's top crisis communication practitioners, specializing in crisis, emergency and litigation public relations.
Bruce's professionalism, ethics and standing in the national public relations community were recognized when he was elected chairman of the prestigious Counselor's Academy, comprising more than 1,000 CEO's of public relations firms throughout the nation. At the time, he was the youngest chairman in the Academy's history.
Senior Counsel

Patricia Thorp served as president and founder of Thorp & Company from 1986 to 2010 when she sold the firm to rbb Public Relations and became senior consultant. She has more than 25 years of experience developing integrated communications programs for the nation's top professional services firms; leading banks, trust companies and investment advisory firms; and the world's largest healthcare and pharmaceutical companies.
Active in industry and community affairs, Patricia is currently a member of the board of Baptist Health Systems' Doctor's Hospital and the Miami Coalition of Christians and Jews (MCCJ), and serves as its treasurer. She also is a board member and board secretary for The Commonwealth Institute, sits on the board of Suited for Success, a non-profit organization, and is a BusinessWeek Market Advisory Board Member.
In addition, she is a trustee and board member of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce. Previously, she served as Vice-Chairman of the 13th Annual International Airline CEO Conference, and chaired the Miami City Ballet's marketing committee and the International Advertising Association's events committee, where she was also a board member for several years.
In 2010, Patricia was named a Woman Extraordinaire by Business Leader Media. She was an honoree in the 2009 South Florida Business Journal's Influential Business Women and in 2008 was named Entrepreneurial Businesswoman of the Year by the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce. Patricia was also a national finalist in both the 2007 and 2008 Stevie Awards for Women in Business under the Women Helping Women category. In 2006, her agency, Thorp & Company, was named Business of the Year in its field by the South Florida Business Journal.
Patricia earned a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Florida, where she majored in public relations, and was named Outstanding Student of the Year receiving four honors scholarships.
Robert Doughty
Robert A. Doughty (Rob) is an internationally recognized public relations counselor, whose 35+ year career includes corporate communications, internal and external communications, marketing communications, and crisis and issues management for a number of well-known consumer brands.
He has held senior level positions for a wide range of brands in the airline, entertainment, hospitality, food service, food processing, higher education, consumer and industrial products fields, as well as in the non-profit realm. Most recently, Rob served as vice president, communications for the Disneyland Resort during Disneyland Park's highly successful 50th anniversary celebration.
During his career, Rob served as vice president, communications for Kaplan Higher Education, Burger King Corporation and Pizza Hut, and held senior level communications positions at United Airlines, Wilson Foods and Hobart Brothers Company. At United Airlines, Rob oversaw the communications programs for United's historic acquisition of the Pacific Division of Pan American World Airways and the launch of the airline's service to Europe.
Rob earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Eastern Kentucky University and his Master of Arts in Organizational Communications from Ohio University. He is a member of the Arthur W. Page Society, a professional organization for the most senior communications officers in corporations and is an active member of the Board of Directors for Shake-A-Leg Miami, a non-profit group that uses water sports to improve the quality of life for people with physical and developmental challenges.

Robert Gill
Robert C. Gill, vice president, provides senior counsel and writing expertise of every type including op-eds, white papers, technical writing, brochure copy and bylines.
Prior to joining rbb, Robert served in senior government positions, managing media relations, strategy and legislative research in the technology, health care, business regulation, environmental and consumer protection fields. In this capacity, he worked on some of the most pressing legislative matters of the day, including an innovative brownfields redevelopment law, the nation's first state-funded breast cancer research grant program, and Massachusetts' utility deregulation law.
Robert also has served as research director for the Massachusetts Legislature's Education Committee, working with municipal officials, business leaders and educators to help craft the state's high-profile education reform law. He has served as an advisor on public relations and policy development for the American Cancer Society, Massachusetts Division, and has operated in senior positions within various political campaigns.
Robert is a graduate of Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island.
